Mark Leslie Ewald, age 59, of Howard City, Michigan passed away at his home. Mark was born on January 23, 1958 in Adrian, Michigan, the son of Leslie Earl and Joanne (Defazio) Ewald. He married Kimberly Lynn Baker on August 2, 2008 in Gowen, Michigan. He lived most of his adult life in Michigan.
Mark was employed as a process technician for Klein Plastics for many years. He also worked for Universal Products and Wolverine World Wide. In his younger years, he owned his own landscaping company. Mark enjoyed deer hunting with both a rifle and a bow. He enjoyed music, computer and cell phone technology, and watching action and comedy movies.
Mark appreciated the fine art of sausage making and smoking, creating many of his own flavors. He enjoyed photography, especially taking photos of his dogs and was the main contributor to Wolf Den German Shepherds. He was an avid firearm enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting. His most memorable moments were spent with his son, Matt, whom he adored.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly, son Matthew of Thailand, his mother Joanne Ewald of Cedar Springs, a sister Lynne and Patrick MacDonald of Cedar Springs, and former wife Valerie Ewald of Bath. He was preceded in death by his father Leslie Ewald.
